Anza

Anza is a research and development lab focused on Solana's core blockchain infrastructure. The team originated from Solana Labs and works on the foundational components that keep the Solana network running - including validator clients, consensus mechanisms, developer tooling, and SDKs.

Anza's primary product is Agave, a validator client described as Solana's majority validator client and the software that operates the network. Alongside Agave, the team develops Pinocchio, a minimal Rust framework for writing Solana programs, and is conducting research into advanced consensus mechanisms under the name Alpenglow. The organisation also builds and maintains a range of developer tools and SDKs designed to support teams building on Solana.

Work at Anza is conducted in the open, with development coordinated through active GitHub repositories and a culture built around wide collaboration. The team brings deep experience with Solana's protocol internals and is focused on the reliability and scalability demands of running production blockchain infrastructure.
