We're a team of software engineers and legal professionals building something we wish existed when we were drafting contracts the old way. BoostDraft transforms Microsoft Word into an IDE for legal documents - think VS Code, but for contracts. We started with a simple observation: lawyers spend countless hours scrolling, searching for definitions, and fixing formatting errors. So we built a tool that handles the tedious stuff automatically.

Founded by MIT and Stanford graduates, we've grown from a small research project to serving over 10,000 paying users at major law firms and enterprises - all through word-of-mouth and without external funding for our first four years. Around 70% of our team are engineers from places like Microsoft, IBM, and NTT R&D, working with technologies like C#, Rust, Python, and modern ML frameworks. We're not just adding AI for the sake of it; we're focused on practical tools that solve real problems in legal workflows, like document comparison, reference checking, and smart formatting that actually respects how lawyers work.
