Desjardins Group

About

We're the largest financial cooperative in Canada, serving over 10 million members and clients with a team of 57,530 employees. Founded in 1900 in Lévis, Quebec by Alphonse and Dorimène Desjardins, we started as the first savings and credit cooperative in North America. Today, we operate through 189 caisses (credit unions) and 547 points of service, primarily in Quebec and Ontario, with total assets of $510.2 billion.

What sets us apart is our cooperative model - we're owned by our members, not shareholders. This means we can focus on what matters: supporting the financial autonomy and development of people and communities. We offer a full range of financial services including personal and business banking, wealth management, life and health insurance, and property and casualty insurance. We were named Canada's Bank of the Year by The Banker magazine in 2025, and we're consistently ranked among Canada's Top 100 Employers, Top Employers for Young People, and Greenest Employers.
