Diné Development Corporation (DDC) is a Navajo Nation–owned family of companies founded in 2004. Operating through nine subsidiaries and more than 700 employees, DDC delivers IT, engineering, environmental, and professional services to federal agencies, tribal governments, and commercial organisations. Its client base spans defence, healthcare, homeland security, and intelligence sectors, with more than 250 unique customers served to date.
DDC's work is organised around a dual mandate: competing for government and commercial contracts while directing the resulting revenues toward the Navajo Nation. Since its founding, the corporation has returned more than $4 million in dividends to the Navajo Nation and made over $11 million in philanthropic contributions. The company states that its growth has directly supported improvements to infrastructure, education, and healthcare on the Navajo Nation.
The corporation's structure as a tribally owned enterprise shapes both its strategic direction and its workforce. Its mission - creating sustainable prosperity for the Navajo Nation - is described as inspired by the legacy of Navajo people who have served to protect their homeland. Expansion into new service areas and markets is framed as a means of generating economic, environmental, and infrastructural resources for future generations of the Navajo Nation.
