HTTPie

HTTPie builds developer tools intended to make working with APIs simple and intuitive. The company began as an open-source project, created by developers to solve a problem they faced themselves, and its product philosophy centres on tools that are, in its own description, "uncompromisingly human-centric yet powerful" and designed to keep developers in their flow.

The company's best-known product is the HTTPie open-source command-line tool for API testing, which is built to make such testing faster and less tedious. It is one of the top projects on GitHub, with over 47,000 stars. Alongside it, HTTPie offers a collaborative platform for API development that applies the same principles as the original tool and uses state-of-the-art artificial intelligence to support developers and teams across the API lifecycle.

HTTPie raised a $6.5m seed round. Its backers include Coatue and Blossom Capital, as well as founders from Intercom, Checkout.com and Monzo. The company's technical work spans API development tooling, API testing, artificial intelligence, collaboration and open-source software.
