ITClinical
Privately owned Portuguese company, founded 2007, providing IT, scientific and language services for clinical trials and pharma as both a software house and CRO.
ITClinical is a privately owned Portuguese company that works at the intersection of software and clinical research. Founded in 2007 and headquartered in Lisbon, it operates both as a software house and as a Contract Research Organization (CRO), providing IT, scientific and language services to clinical trials and the pharmaceutical industry. Its work spans four areas: IT for health and pharmaceuticals, clinical trial software development, scientific affairs, and language services.
The company's product portfolio covers the core systems used in trial operations. CTMS, EDC, IMPO and IWRS are clinical trial management, electronic data capture and interactive response tools, and all comply with 21 CFR Part 11, the United States regulation on electronic records. Pharmacovigilance software is offered for the pharmaceutical industry. In 2020-2021 the team also developed FIGHT-IT, a solution designed to help investigators run clinical trials during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Beyond software, ITClinical's work includes clinical data management, clinical trial monitoring, medical writing, regulatory support, scientific affairs and language services, together with software escrow arrangements. The company supports clinical operations across Europe and maintains subsidiaries in the United Kingdom and Italy alongside its Lisbon headquarters.
The working culture is described as team-focused and supportive, with engineers working alongside decision-makers. Technical staff are engaged across health IT, clinical trial software development, pharmacovigilance software and clinical data management.
