We're the largest transit agency in Wisconsin, and we've been connecting Milwaukee County to jobs, education, and community life since 1975. Operating as a quasi-governmental system through Milwaukee Transport Services, Inc., we manage 369 buses across 42 routes serving Milwaukee, Ozaukee, and Waukesha counties. Our team of roughly 1,000 employees works around the clock to keep our community moving, whether it's someone getting to work, students reaching school, or neighbors accessing healthcare and social services.
What drives us isn't just schedules and routes - it's the real impact we have on people's daily lives. We've rolled out Wisconsin's first Bus Rapid Transit line (CONNECT 1), modernized our fare collection with the WisGo system, and continue innovating to make transit more accessible and reliable. But at our core, we're about the people we serve: the 73,000+ riders who depend on us every weekday, and the communities that thrive when public transit works well. We're constantly learning, improving, and adapting because we know that safe, dependable transit isn't just a service - it's a lifeline.
