Outpost
Outpost builds carrier-agnostic truck terminals across the US, combining logistics real estate, terminal operations and gate automation technology using computer vision and AI.
Outpost is a vertically integrated company combining real estate, operations and technology to build carrier-agnostic truck terminals across the United States. Its technology work spans computer vision, artificial intelligence, voice agents and gate automation, applied to the physical infrastructure of freight. Proprietary gate automation systems use these tools to cut gate costs by 70%, according to the company.
The business operates through three divisions. A logistics real estate arm acquires and develops mission-critical sites for large logistics providers. A terminals-as-a-service offering lets fleets access truck terminal infrastructure without capital outlay; the network comprises more than 30 terminals and serves over 3,000 fleets. Customers include Landstar, Werner Enterprises, PAM Transport, PRIME Inc. and Western Flyer Xpress.
Outpost is backed by Greenpoint Partners with $1 billion in funding. Its network is nationwide, with locations in Chicago, Dallas, Houston, Phoenix, Miami, Atlanta and Los Angeles.
