Runware

Runware is an AI inference platform, founded in 2023 and headquartered in London, that gives developers and businesses a unified API for accessing thousands of generative AI models across image, video, audio, 3D and language modalities. Through a single API call, customers can integrate media generation into their products without managing infrastructure or capacity planning. The platform supports open-source models such as FLUX and Stable Diffusion as well as frontier closed-source models from major providers.

Underlying the platform is proprietary engineering work. The Sonic Inference Engine is a fully custom hardware and software stack built specifically for AI inference, delivering up to ten times lower cost per generation than market rates. It runs on Sonic Pods, modular inference data centres of custom GPU hardware designed and operated by the company. Technical domains covered by the team include AI inference, hardware-software co-design, GPU and data-centre infrastructure, and API platform engineering.

Runware reports serving more than 300 million end users and processing over 10 billion API requests. It serves enterprise customers globally across developer tools, enterprise software, generative media and AI/ML infrastructure. The company is SOC 2 and ISO 27001 certified and GDPR compliant, and states a strong focus on security and data-privacy standards.
