About

We are a global advanced materials and recycling group with roots stretching back more than 200 years, starting from mining and smelting in 1805. Over time, we have transformed into a circular materials technology company with operations across the globe. Today, our team of nearly 12,000 colleagues works across battery materials, catalysis, recycling, and specialty materials to create sustainable solutions for our customers.

What we do day-to-day is pretty remarkable. We develop and produce materials that reduce harmful vehicle emissions, power electric and hybrid vehicles, and give new life to used metals through advanced recycling processes. Our closed-loop business model means we recover and reuse precious metals, keeping materials in circulation rather than ending up as waste. With 14 R&D and technical centers worldwide, we are constantly innovating to address resource scarcity and support cleaner mobility and energy storage technologies.
