Believer

Believer is a global games company developing a next-generation open-world game built on original intellectual property. The studio's design priorities are stories in which player choices matter and gameplay systems that bring players together. It was founded by industry veterans Michael Chow and Steven Snow, formerly of Riot Games leadership, and its founding motto is Credo In Ludos - "I believe in games".

The company raised $55 million in Series A funding, with investors including Lightspeed Venture Partners and Andreessen Horowitz. Believer is headquartered in Los Angeles, California, but its developers are distributed all over the world, making for a remote-friendly team structure that spans multiple countries and time zones.

Technical work at Believer spans game development, open-world game design, original IP creation, narrative and player-choice systems, and multiplayer and community gameplay systems. The company states a mission to put players at the centre of everything it creates and to unite strong game creators around that goal.
