Meredith Corporation was founded in 1902 by Edwin Thomas Meredith when he began publishing Successful Farming magazine. For nearly 120 years, the company grew to become a leading American media conglomerate based in Des Moines, Iowa. The company produced service journalism that engaged audiences through magazines, television stations, digital platforms, and newspapers.

In 2021, Meredith Corporation was acquired by IAC and merged with Dotdash to form Dotdash Meredith, creating America's largest digital and print publisher. Today, the combined company reaches more than 200 million people each month through its portfolio of over 40 iconic brands including People, Better Homes & Gardens, Food & Wine, Southern Living, Allrecipes, and The Spruce. The company employs more than 3,300 people and maintains headquarters in both New York and Des Moines.
