Mixpanel was founded in 2009 by Suhail Doshi and Tim Trefren with the idea that event-based analytics could give teams real answers about user behavior without forcing everyone to learn SQL. Our platform tracks user interactions across web and mobile, letting product teams see what's actually happening - where users drop off, what features they love, and why they come back (or don't).
Today, over 29,000 companies including Workday, Pinterest, and LG use Mixpanel to make decisions about their products. We've grown beyond basic event tracking into a full platform with features like session replay, experimentation tools, feature flags, and metric trees. What drives us is making data accessible to everyone on a team - not just analysts - so product managers, marketers, and engineers can all see the impact of their work and move faster with confidence.
