Ocra

Ocra builds parking revenue management software that lets hotels sell unused parking to non-guest customers; a small distributed engineering team supports 600+ locations.

Ocra develops parking revenue management software that allows hotels to sell underutilised parking inventory to non-guest customers, with the aim of raising net operating income. The platform is deployed across more than 600 locations and is used through partnerships with over 50 operators and more than 25 hotel groups. The company operates at the intersection of hospitality, parking and travel.

The engineering organisation is a small, distributed team working across time zones in a text-first environment, using Slack, GitHub, Notion, Linear and Google Docs. Engineers ship to production daily, and the team favours lightweight processes while maintaining quality. Performance issues are identified and documented collectively, and the company experiments with AI-assisted development tools to accelerate delivery. Technical work spans revenue management software, performance optimisation and AI tooling.

Ocra states that it values autonomy, curiosity and adaptability over rigid processes, and positions collaboration over bureaucracy and curiosity over conformity. Its stated objective is to deliver measurable results for clients without adding operational burden. The company has raised $10m in funding.

Ocra was founded by Ethan Glass and Nate Dunning, former college soccer teammates at Occidental College, and has been recognised by Forbes 30 Under 30. Further details are available at getocra.com.
