VÆRIDION is a Munich-based deep-tech aviation startup founded in 2021 by former Airbus executives Ivor van Dartel and Sebastian Seemann. We're developing the Microliner, a 100% electric, nine-passenger aircraft designed specifically for regional air travel. Our mission is to reconnect remote and underserved regions with zero-emission flights that are both cost-effective and environmentally sustainable.
The Microliner can carry up to 9 passengers over 400 kilometers under IFR conditions, with charging times under 40 minutes. We're taking a pragmatic approach, building on proven aerospace technologies rather than chasing science fiction. Our clean-sheet design features a glider-inspired wing with integrated modular batteries and a multi-engine propulsion system. Headquartered in Munich with a subsidiary in Delft, we've partnered with industry leaders like Bosch, Evolito, MT Propeller, GKN Aerospace, and Dassault Systèmes to accelerate our path to certification. With over 60 team members and €14M in Series A funding, we're targeting entry into commercial service before 2030 through the EASA CS-23 certification pathway.
