Vizzia was born from a collaboration between CNRS and Polytechnique, with a mission to revolutionize how cities tackle incivilities and public safety challenges through technology. The founders recognized that municipalities were facing growing pressures from illegal dumping, noise disturbances, and public safety concerns, but lacked effective, privacy-respecting tools to address these issues at scale. By combining computer vision, 4G/5G nomadic sensors, and sovereign cloud infrastructure, Vizzia created a solution that enables local authorities to identify illegal dumping within minutes and resolve investigations more quickly.
Since its founding in 2021, Vizzia has grown rapidly, equipping over 150 cities across France with populations ranging from 65,000 to 300,000 inhabitants. The company has achieved an 80% reduction in illegal dumping where deployed and recovered over €1 million in fines. In 2025, Vizzia raised €16 million to accelerate growth and expand its team of 100+ employees. The technology is designed specifically with and for communes, supporting public action while fully respecting individual liberties and citizen privacy. Vizzia's dual solution focuses on cleanliness (combating illegal dumping and valorizing public spaces) and safety (reinforcing public tranquility and supporting municipal teams).
