In 2016, Everphone's founder Jan Dzulko found himself in a frustrating situation: his smartphone display cracked, and despite having insurance, he faced a three-week waiting period for a replacement. In today's fast-paced work environment where the smartphone serves as a constant companion and mobile secretary, waiting 20 days for a working device was simply unacceptable. This painful experience sparked a realization: there had to be a better solution to mobile device management. What started as a 'smartphone club' for end-users seeking quick, uncomplicated replacements quickly evolved into something far more impactful.
Recognizing that the device management burden was even more urgent in corporate environments - where stolen, defective, or lost phones create not just administrative headaches but also serious security and data protection challenges - Everphone pivoted to B2B. Today, Everphone provides a comprehensive Device-as-a-Service (DaaS) platform that handles the entire lifecycle of company smartphones, tablets, and laptops. Companies can rent rather than purchase devices, giving them flexibility when employees leave or want upgrades. Perhaps most importantly, Everphone's 'buy and rent back' approach refurbishes devices in their cell phone workshop, considerably extending device lifespan and saving 58 kg of CO₂ per smartphone. With more than 1,000 organizations relying on their platform, Everphone has grown from a Berlin startup solving a personal frustration to a global leader transforming how enterprises think about mobile device fleets.
