Talent Pool: Fixed-Price Tech Candidate Sourcing

Hiring remote software engineers in Central and Eastern Europe is becoming increasingly competitive. Talent Pool is CEEhire’s fixed-price sourcing service that helps companies access pre-screened, qualified candidates without committing to a full recruitment engagement upfront. Instead of waiting for applications, get a targeted shortlist of engineers matched to your requirements.

The problem with traditional hiring

Post a remote IT role and one of two things usually happens.

Either almost nobody relevant applies, the role sits open for weeks, and the strongest engineers never see it because they are not actively browsing job boards.

Or the opposite happens: hundreds or even thousands of applications come in, but many are not a real match for the required skills, seniority level, location, or contract type.

Either way, your team spends valuable time filtering applications, while the candidates you actually want to reach are often already employed and not actively applying.

CEEhire as a job board already solves part of this challenge — every listing is checked, and candidates see roles that are genuinely accessible from Central and Eastern Europe. But sourcing for a specific, hard-to-fill role is a different challenge than posting a job and waiting.

That is what Talent Pool is designed for.

What Talent Pool is

Talent Pool is a fixed-price sourcing service for companies hiring remote tech professionals.

You provide the role requirements, seniority level, and must-have skills. We begin sourcing within five business days of confirming the project.

As we identify and qualify candidates, we introduce them to you, building a Talent Pool of five pre-screened professionals matched to your requirements.

No inbox full of irrelevant applications. No hours spent filtering CVs.

You get a shortlist of candidates worth interviewing — not a pile of resumes to review yourself.

We'd rather introduce five strong candidates than five fast ones.

The exact delivery timeline depends on the seniority and complexity of the role and the availability of suitable professionals in the market.

What "pre-screened" means

Every candidate we introduce has already:

  • confirmed interest in your role

  • matched your core technical requirements

  • confirmed remote availability

  • confirmed English proficiency

  • shared salary expectations

  • shared notice period

We don't send candidates just to fill a shortlist. Every Talent Pool candidate must meet the agreed role criteria, including required technologies, seniority level, experience, and availability.

Hiring decisions remain with the company. If none of the introduced candidates are selected, there is no additional cost beyond the initial Talent Pool fee.

What you get alongside the candidates

Talent Pool isn't just five CVs at the end of the process.

  • A one-page market snapshot for the role — current CEE salary range and a rough read on how many suitable candidates are realistically active or reachable for this specific profile, so you know upfront whether you're hiring into a tight or open market.

  • Weekly progress updates while sourcing is active — who we've reached out to, what response we're getting, and where things stand. No two-month silence waiting for a shortlist to land.

    Pricing

Talent Pool sits between a Featured Job Post and a fully custom recruitment engagement — offering a fixed-price way to access qualified candidates.

Our sourcing guarantee

We start sourcing within five business days of confirming the project.

If we haven't reached five role-matched candidates within 60 days, we keep sourcing at no extra cost until we do.

And if we're unable to introduce even a single qualified candidate within that time, we refund your Talent Pool fee in full.

You're either getting candidates, or getting your money back.

Example: sourcing a Senior DevOps Engineer

A US-based product company needs a senior DevOps engineer — Kubernetes, Terraform, AWS or Azure, comfortable owning CI/CD end-to-end, based in CEE and available for a remote contract.

Posting this role publicly may result in two problems: either the role gets buried among generic applications, or the engineers who actually match the requirements never see it because they are already employed.

With Talent Pool, the company pays $1,499 upfront, and we begin sourcing within five business days.

We identify and introduce pre-screened DevOps engineers who match the agreed requirements and have confirmed interest in the opportunity.

If the company hires one of the candidates, the total cost is $4,500 — significantly below traditional recruitment fees that can reach 15–20% of annual salary for senior technical roles.

Example: sourcing a Data Engineer

The same challenge applies to Data Engineers.

There may be fewer irrelevant applications, but professionals with real experience in areas such as Kafka, Spark, and data warehouse architecture are often already employed and not actively applying.

Talent Pool helps companies reach these passive candidates through targeted sourcing instead of relying only on inbound applications.

Why it works

Talent Pool is not a discounted version of full recruitment.

It is a separate, lower-commitment sourcing product that allows companies to evaluate candidate quality before deciding whether they need a larger recruitment engagement.

No upfront full placement commitment. No long-term engagement.

Just a fixed-price way to access relevant tech professionals.

This is based on sourcing work we have already been doing for years. Through our network, we have successfully supported companies hiring Senior and Lead Engineers, Software Developers, DevOps Engineers, Cloud Engineers, Data Engineers, AI/ML Engineers, QA Engineers, SAP Specialists, and other technical professionals. Many of these searches have been completed from first outreach to signed offer within approximately one month.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is Talent Pool a replacement for traditional recruitment?

Not necessarily. Talent Pool is designed as a lower-commitment first step for companies that want access to qualified candidates before engaging in a full recruitment search.

For some roles, Talent Pool may be enough. For more complex or confidential searches, it can also be the starting point for a broader recruitment engagement.

Do you guarantee that I will hire one of the candidates?

No. Hiring decisions depend on interviews, compensation, timing, and internal requirements.

What we guarantee is that introduced candidates match the agreed role criteria and have been screened before introduction.

What happens if none of the candidates are selected?

The initial Talent Pool fee covers the sourcing and screening work completed. There is no additional payment unless you hire a candidate.

How quickly does sourcing start?

We begin sourcing within five business days after confirming the project and receiving the required role information.

Why Job Boards Are Becoming a Problem for Remote Hiring

Job boards are getting harder to use for both recruiters and candidates. AI tools now apply to jobs automatically, and the usual fix, building a local network and showing up in person, gets a lot harder once the candidate and the company are in different countries.
